We already have a significant interest in alternative low carbon energy, being one of Europe’s leading biofuel marketers, as well as operating and developing windfarms, developing and marketing photovoltaics, and have R&D investment in tidal and wave energy. Total is involved in several Carbon Capture and storage projects worldwide including the development of a fully integrated capture, transportation and storage pilot scheme at Lacq in France.
